Jeju

Jeju, where Haeyeon Fish Farm is located, is a beautiful and pristine island that is the only place in the world that received the UNESCO designation for three natural science areas.

Some areas in Jeju were designated as Biosphere Reserves in 2002, others were designated as World Natural Heritage Sites in 2007, and the entirety of the island was recognized as a part of the Global Geoparks Network in 2010. These designations not only acknowledge the beautiful natural scenery and value of the land and coastal ecosystem on the island, but also its value as an academic resource.
